Stuyvesant Town Class Action

If you signed a lease for any of the 4,311 improperly deregulated Units at the Complex for a lease term that included or began after January 22, 2003, up to November 30, 2012, you are automatically a Class Member. If you ceased being a tenant in one of the Units before January 22, 2003, or signed your first lease for one of the Units after November 30, 2012, you are not a Class Member. Only tenants or co-tenants who signed leases are Class Members. If you were a co-tenant or other occupant who did not sign the lease, you are not a Class Member.

On June 4, 2014 the Court approved the distribution of the remaining Roberts Settlement Funds. Please see "Roberts Final Distribution Order" on the Documents page of this website for further details.

On December 27, 2013, Berdon Claims Administration LLC distributed payments pertaining to the portion of Class Members' claims that arise from the period that MetLife owned Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village, which was from January 22, 2003 through November 16, 2006. These payments satisfy this portion of Class Members' claims in full.

On April 10, 2013 the Court granted final approval of the Settlement. Please see "Court Approval of Settlement" on the Documents page of this website for further details.

On January 26, 2013, attorneys for the Roberts class were invited by the STPCV Tenants Association to give a presentation on the Settlement, which included information on how the Damages and Future Rents were determined, how Individual Apartment Improvements were calculated under the Settlement, and why Class Members should join the Settlement. On December 27, 2013, Berdon Claims Administration LLC distributed payments pertaining to the portion of Class Members' claims that arise from the period that MetLife owned Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village, which was from January 22, 2003 through November 16, 2006. These payments satisfy this portion of Class Members' claims in full.
